On our way to Florida! Briefly admired an airport ceiling.

Almost there.

We stayed with family in Fort Myers at each end of the trip.
Some shots en route to the Keys:

These guys make a doglike “voof” when you encroach.

My glass of sangria at the Bucktooth Rooster on Big Pine Key. Shrimp and “gigantic” scallops headed my way. If you can’t find something you like on this menu, you’re not trying.

Note the sign. The adjacent view:

We see pelicans from our Bahia Honda porch as well. This is the dock we left for parasailing.

I love that a tree grows out of a bridge.

Dinner at the Square Grouper on Cudjoe Key.

Curry Hammock State Park, watching kitesurfers and enjoying sun and supersoft sand.

A 7-point Key deer.

Her name is Betsy. She is firmly attached and described as “anatomically correct,” which seems to be the case from a shell standpoint but I cannot testify to the gender aspect.

Back to the Land Of Coats.
The next morning I stepped out into 25ish weather to walk about half a mile to my teaching assignment. I didn’t even care because I knew the weather was cold here, but not in the WHOLE FREAKIN’ WORLD. Mindset is everything.
