For a couple of years now, a friend and I have talked about taking a short trip when she visits her native Midland. When I learned she never had crossed the Mackinac Bridge, that set our direction. We did it twice – this is the view from the Bridge View Park in St. Ignace, the Upper Peninsula side – plus toured Mackinac Island and did a LOT of people- and horse-watching.
