AUG. 14 UPDATE: Summer reading goals included this book, which I just finished, and its sequel, which commences immediately. Much as I love dystopia and horror, when people ask my favorite author, I say William Gibson, who awes me with his prescience and attention to tiny detail. When I read his books I always have a dictionary close by, and for this one I wrote down all the words I had to look up: 45 across its 485 pages.
