Getting my goat

I don’t usually photograph my food, but I loved the mbuzi today at Baobab Fare in Detroit, a Burundian restaurant conveniently a half mile from Henry Ford Hospital. Slow-roasted goat shank, corn salad, fried plantains and stewed yellow beans. If you can’t decide between spiced rice pilau and coconut rice, they let you split 50/50, which I did.
