June 1: Our three newest neighbors.
Their path was dramatic, to us at least. Mom robin built a nest at the top of the ladder. Soon after, high winds sent the ladder crashing down. My mate picked up the ladder, stuffed the hole at the top and replaced the nest. We crossed our fingers and waited.
May 11: Eggs, which take 12-14 days to hatch
May 27: Three baby robins sighted
May 31: Eyes open
June 6: Fledglings left the nest. We’d occasionally see one on the ground with mom investigating food, but within a week that was done.
