My painting project from the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens’ Art After Dark sold-out event last night. I took my sister, who likes social painting evenings. This project was laid out so simply, four steps clearly shown in pictures, drop in any time to start. And next to zero talent required because the lilac blooms are made not with paintbrushes, but with bundles of Q-tips. For something billed as a “date night” and attracting all levels of ability/experience, it was an inspired choice.
