Corn, anyone?

I have lived here since 1981. Strangely, though, I never have made it to the Auburn Corn Festival.

This year I’m going, but mostly because my children’s principal called and asked for help. So if you want to meet me, stop by between noon and 2 p.m. Sunday where Bay Area Catholic Schools is selling raffle tickets for a car.

It’s not that I haven’t wanted to go. Summer gets busy, and I just didn’t quite make it. So finally, I can check off one more festival. And yes, I will make sure to check out the sights while I’m there. I understand there might be food involved, too.

And HOT? It promises to be blazing boiling Sunday, possible record heat that feels like 100.

Selling raffle tickets won’t be too bad, I don’t think. But that 6:15 softball game is looking brutal already.
