I was nearly broadsided this morning a few blocks from work. Apparently the other driver was under the impression that I would stop at the yellow and black striped sign I drove through.
This is a common misconception downtown. I have learned to be prepared to stop behind people who are approaching those signs. Why they think the red octagonal ones only are used for certain stops and a very different sign is used for others, I have no idea. They probably are the ones idling at green lights, waiting for a particular shade of green before pulling forward.
