
Here’s a pair of trees I painted following along with a guide from SilverSneakers/GetSetUp, so there’s not a public link. The main idea was that the light came from the left and so the leaf color would get darker as you moved from left to right. For the second one, I chose an autumn color scheme that I knew was somewhat unnatural – I don’t recall seeing trees that are strongly both yellow and red – but I wanted to see how it looked anyway. Maybe I’ll paint a tree with purple and blue leaves.

This is a monochrome exercise from Nano Art, who specializes in miniature watercolors. I like her a lot. The Most Relaxing Painting You Should Try | Watercolor Doodles For Beginners is just 8:08 long and is simple and meditative in nature. I can see myself repeating this exercise when I want to zone out for a bit.
