Success came through I am not making this up the Midland Daily News classifieds, courtesy of a very nice family in Sanford.
The little girl in question is 7 weeks old and has nicely acclimated to the house, and our 4-year-old Brit is acting a bit protective. (The cat keeps a wide berth and doesn’t see why this addition was necessary.)
Since we are used to Brittanies and their docked tails, it is odd to have a dog wagging a full-length tail instead of a stub. I mentioned this to a fellow Brit owner and he replied of the Lab, “That’s not a tail. It’s a weapon.” And remembering a large yellow Lab we had around the office as a Leader Dog, and the pounding echoes that came about when his tail met metal file cabinets, I’m sure that will prove true.
